THE ROLE

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING


We are searching for an innovative Technical Leader (Dev Leader) to join our team in Latin America. As a Technical Leader, you’ll get the opportunity to lead a group of engineers and work with cutting-edge new technologies that will change the way people view and “do” fitness.

You are responsible for setting and achieving the company and team’s goals. You’ll work across departments to obtain the necessary hardware, data, and deadlines; altogether creating the best product possible for our clients.

We are looking for a problem solver who will identify and remove roadblocks, including software debugging, handling complex projects, and dealing with metrics not met.

This role is 40 hours per week, remote-based in Latam


Responsibilities:

  • Strong experience leading the full life-cycle of a software development project from product requirement specifications to production deployment.
  • Solid experience using software architectural patterns
  • Proven experience in auditing existing systems, and providing improvement plans accordingly.
  • Ability to manage software development teams with various tech stacks.
  • Analyze, design, and lead technical solutions as an architect
  • Delegate work and assignments to team members
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and fix technical problems
  • Analyze users’ needs and then find applications to serve them
  • Define end goals for their team
  • Check that software and applications are updated
  • Supervise system modifications
  • Conduct security audits to identify areas of improvement
  • Guide team through technical issues and challenges
  • Mentor and help grow team members as professionals


YOUR SKILLS

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role leading a small team
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks such as NodeJS, ReactJS, and Angular 2+
  • Intermediate level with Python is expected
  • Strong experience working with a microservices architecture, and developing RESTful APIs
  • Well-versed in AWS
  • Excellent knowledge of Jira, and agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices
  • Fluent in written and oral English
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools and databases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities working in a remote environment
